After a somewhat tarnished experience on Amtrak’s Silver Service en route to New York City, I am refreshed and excited to begin another voyage on the Queen Mary 2. My traveling companions, much braver than I, flew into JFK this morning and we are meeting at the Port in Red Hook, Brooklyn at noon. I’ll write more later today, and let you know how the boarding procedures go at this new-ish port. Off we go! Oh….I just learned that John Cleese will be on our ship. The QM2 always has a guest celebrity on their sailings..and two years ago, I missed John Cleese by one cruise.
